Are you tired of winter? So am I! Today’s design trend is brought to you by the never-ending feeling of winter that early March brings. Green-ify your life! Not everyone can have a greenhouse in their home. But let’s pull from a greenhouse kind of feeling, shall we?
Are you prone to killing things? I don’t mean that in an evil way… but if plants don’t last long in your home, stick to something that doesn’t need much love. Succulents are a great plant because they can live on very little water and care! A few of these spread around the house will add a sense of “spring is coming” to your everyday life. It might make the winter’s end a bit more bearable!
A bit more of a green thumb? Try a grouping of plants in an area where you tend to spend most of your time at home. The zen effect of relaxing with greenery around you will be palpable. Various styles of pots (make sure the outer pot doesn’t have a hole in the bottom) will give you something interesting to look at and play with as well. You can even change them up based on the season!
Another hard one to kill is cactus! Make sure it has light, and avoid touching, but if you’re going for more of a Sedona spring vibe, a few cactus plants will do the trick!
Plants are great for staging as well. Once you get all the clutter out, it is a good idea to add “life” back into the home with some greenery or flowers. Fake plants are ok too! Stagers will often bring in faux blooms and succulents to dress up a home and keep it from becoming too sterile. Buyers will appreciate the simple touches, and since it’s warm and inviting, they will be able to picture themselves living there!
All of my clients receive complimentary staging using pieces you already own and using them in a more buyer-friendly way. Get in touch today to see what your home is worth and how we can work together to get you into the next phase of your life!
